Our conference takes place at TU Graz, July 19 - 24, 2021, in hybrid format.

Online option: You can give your talk and listen to all talks fully online, via Cisco Webex. The links to all Webex sessions have been sent to registered participants whose conference fee payment we have received. Remote speakers have the opportunity to test the setup ahead of time using the session "social room".

Presence option: The talks of speakers present in Graz will take place in lecture rooms (Hörsaal, or HS) "A" and "E" on first floor (one floor above street level) of Kopernikusgasse 24, and remote talks will also be screened in these lecture rooms. All participants must observe a strict Coronavirus safety protocol, see below.

Corona safety measures: When you arrive, be sure to check in at the registration desk in the courtyard of Kopernikusgasse 24 Monday morning from 8am to be briefed about Corona safety measures. We are anticipating the stricter rules that will be in place in Austria in August, requiring full immunization against Covid19, or else a valid, official negative antigen or PCR test, see below.

Be at the registration desk in the courtyard of Kopernikusgasse 24 at 8 o'clock sharp and carry an ID if you want to participate in a joint excursion to a nearby test center (at Messeplatz 1, see below) to have a free Covid19 antigen test immediately.

To enter the building at Kopernikusgasse 24 you must show either

  1. an official negative Covid19 test result valid until the end of the day (where antigen test results are valid for 48 h, PCR test results for 72 h)
  2. or proof of full immunization against Covid 19 (second shot at least 14 days ago, or one shot of J&J at least 22 days ago) with one of the EU-approved vaccines (Biontech-Pfizer, Moderna, Astra Zeneca, Janssen/ Johnson&Johnson).
  3. or proof that you have recovered from a Covid19 infection, and have had one shot of one of the EU-approved Covid19-vaccines at least 22 days ago.

Furthermore, you are required to wear an FFP2 mask (will be provided) indoors in TU Graz buildings, except while giving a talk or while seated on your designated seat in one of the lecture rooms.

Antigen tests are available on a walk-in basis, free of charge, Mon-Sat 8am - 6pm, at the following location, in walking distance (1.2km, 3/4 mile) from the conference venue: Messehalle A, Messeplatz 1, 8010 Graz.

Those with Austrian social security can take a free antigen test even closer to the conference venue, at St. Anna Apotheke, Münzgrabenstr. 3 (near Dietrichsteinplatz).

There is also the possibility, if you have a stopover in Vienna, to get a free PCR test in Vienna. (Note that the deadline of 9am stated on that website is much more strict than necessary in practice. It usually suffices to hand in the test sample by 2pm to get the result by email the same night.)
